About the Role

This internship offers a practical application of classroom and technical training within the reinsurance industry. Interns will be coached by experienced professionals, exposed to leadership, challenged as valuable team members, and mentored for future leadership roles.

Responsibilities

Contribute to projects related to Python-based application development and predictive model deployment as RESTful microservices APIs.
Build and expand ETL pipelining practices for data flow into cloud infrastructure.
Deploy, monitor, and improve visibility for production applications.
Integrate security into all stages of the engineering pipeline with a "security first" attitude.
Build data products with heavy reliance on cloud infrastructure.
Incorporate Git, testing, CI/CD workflows, and PRs into coding projects.
Participate in research projects in machine learning and deep learning, collaborating with scientists and engineers.

Requirements

Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Bioinformatics, or equivalent program.
Familiarity with Python or other object-oriented languages.
Experience developing software using principles from the software design life cycle.
Proficiency with agentic coding.
Solid communication skills, including spoken & written and formal/informal presentation.
Ability to learn quickly and independently and motivated to help others.
Proven ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
Ability to creatively and rapidly problem-solve for on-the-job issues.
Must be a current student returning to in-class studies upon internship completion.
