About the Role
Advantech Industries Inc. is seeking CNC Machinists to join their team. This role involves operating and setting up CNC machines to ensure product quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Sets up machine and observes operation to verify accuracy and detect malfunctions using precision measuring instruments.
- Sets up and controls computerized deburring and tooling machines for operations like drilling, chamfering, and deburring.
- Inspects first parts and monitors production runs for out-of-tolerance machining.
- Cleans machine and work area.
- Provides guidance to less experienced machine operators.
Requirements
- Functions as a member of a customer-driven quality team with limited supervision.
- Holds oneself accountable for meeting project outcome commitments.
- Maintains adequate performance and motivation for routine tasks.
- Ability to understand and carry out oral and written directives.
- Ability to work under pressure, adhere to deadlines, and be flexible.
- Thorough operational knowledge of specific CNC mills and lathes, with the ability to calculate and set machine controls manually or by entering commands.
- Ability to operate assigned equipment safely and efficiently.
- Ability to keep records of time spent and materials used.
- Ability to use precision measuring tools, read drawings and blueprints, and familiarity with common machine and measuring tools.
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations.
- 5 years of previous CNC setup and operation experience.
- Experience on Mazak or Haas Machines preferred.
- Alignment with Advantech Quality Management System and ISO 9001:2015 principles.
- Capacity to handle business changes and adjust to new situations.
- Preparedness to stand for extended periods, lift heavy items, and operate equipment.
- Must be a US Citizen, Permanent Resident, or Green Card Holder (ITAR Restricted).
