About the Role
Clinical Operations is central to our healthcare business. As our patient base expands, we need an experienced Clinical Operations Manager to support the safe and effective scaling of this function, specifically managing our UK prescriber workforce of 100+ FTE. You will ensure clinicians are supported, empowered, and performing optimally, while driving performance, upholding clinical standards, and embedding systems for scale. This role combines people leadership with operational execution, using data and technology to monitor performance, resolve challenges, and improve safety, efficiency, and patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire the UK prescriber team, driving engagement and setting high standards for outstanding patient care.
- Own end-to-end rota design, scheduling, and workforce planning for 100+ prescribers, ensuring adequate clinical coverage and managing demand fluctuations.
- Build scalable, automated scheduling systems that maintain safe staffing levels while optimizing for cost and clinician experience.
- Elevate clinical outcomes by leveraging data, automation, and real-time feedback loops to ensure the workforce is safe, effective, and world-class.
- Design and refine processes for seamless and scalable scheduling, onboarding, and workforce management, using automation and technology.
- Partner with Clinical, Operations, Product, and Data leaders to solve problems, embed tech-enabled workflows, and launch new services smoothly.
- Take accountability for prescriber scheduling, rota management, performance, and development, ensuring safe, efficient, and scaled care delivery.
- Uphold high clinical standards through performance management, audits, and coaching, balancing commercial goals.
- Bring structure, clarity, and data-driven decision-making to clinical operations, leveraging automation and AI.
- Play a key role in rolling out new services, ensuring prescribers are trained and workflows are ready for safe, timely, and effective patient care.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in healthcare operations or clinical management.
- Proven experience in rota management, shift scheduling, workforce planning, and ensuring safe delivery of care at volume in high-growth settings.
- Experience turning complex challenges into streamlined systems and measurable outcomes.
- Confidence using clinical and operational data to drive insight, track performance, and implement improvements.
- Experience with or implementation of tech-enabled workflows, automation, or AI.
- Experience working in digital health, a fast-paced startup, consulting, or a tech-enabled healthcare environment.
- Registered clinician (GMC or equivalent) or experience working closely alongside prescribers and multidisciplinary teams (preferred).
