About the Role
Support the Pharmacist by accurately preparing, compounding, and distributing specialty medications to ensure continuity of patient care and safety. Manage pharmacy inventory, automated dispensing systems, and supply logistics to maintain medication availability and prevent potential drug shortages. Serve as a patient advocate and liaison, actively coordinating benefit investigation, prior authorization, and financial assistance to ensure prompt medication access. Collaborate with the care team to prepare patient education materials and perform advanced technical duties, including monitoring regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare, compound, and distribute specialty medications.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, automated dispensing systems, and supply logistics.

- Prepare patient education materials.
- Perform advanced technical duties, including monitoring regulatory compliance.
Requirements
- Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Texas State Board of Pharmacy obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Pharmacy intern is acceptable in lieu of Pharmacy Tech credential.
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience.
- IV/Sterile Compounding Certification.
- Inpatient Hospital Experience.
