About the Role
Supervise and oversee all related work in the Cooler Warehouse on an assigned shift, and perform positional duties when not running shifts.
Responsibilities
- Lead and direct the work activities of shift employees, ensuring performance and safety standards are consistently met.
- Tour cooler floor on assigned shift to identify products for location, rotation, quality, code, and quantity.
- Manage the floor and maintain knowledge of any product that is not in stock.
- Receive information from off-going Warehouse Supervisor and provide information to oncoming supervisor.
- Communicate daily with Plant Management team the status of the cooler balances and efficiencies.
- Coordinate with Driver Supervisors and Plant Supervisors to achieve most efficient load out per timeline.
- Foster an “open door” policy for all employees to maintain open path of communication between direct reports and management staff.
- Follow all SOP procedures and complete required documentation/checklists.
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts to improve products, services, or processes.
- Maintain production schedule, meet order expectations, and monitor variances.
- Follow up on the training and development of personnel.
- Assist in scheduling and plan for staffing changes as needed.
- Maintain area cleanliness, report leaking or out of spec product, and participate in waste reduction efforts.
- Follow all Safety requirements including Housekeeping, Lock Out/Tag Out, PPE and engage in facility safety efforts.
- Ensure compliance with all OSHA, NYSDA, PMO, FDA, and assist in maintaining SQF readiness, and HACCP.
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
- Perform positional duties including operating pallet jacks, forklifts and bending and lifting to pick orders.
Requirements
- Supervisory Experience required
- Warehouse Experience preferred
- Meets departmental productivity standards in a fast-paced environment.
- Adheres to Company Policy and Procedures.
- Ability to adapt, problem solve and work with limited supervision.
- Ability to maintain consistency within department and set clear expectations.
- Perform all job duties in a safe and compliant manner.
- Operate in varied temperature ranges; work in a cold environment of 32 to 39 degrees.
