About the Role
Dominion Energy is seeking a Mechanical Engineering intern for its Rapid Response Design Engineering department at Millstone Power Station in Waterford, CT for the summer of 2027. The intern will support design expertise, ownership, and maintenance of Mechanical Engineering areas, including preparing and implementing design changes, revising calculations, and conducting inspections.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and provide implementation support for design changes/modifications to support the long-term reliability and operation of the station.
- Support projects produced within the Station Design and Station Projects organizations, and with external vendors/architect-engineers.
- Prepare or revise calculations in support of engineering products.
- Conduct inspections of station structures and equipment.
Requirements
- Must be able to follow instructions and be a team player.
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Solid engineering skills, commensurate with grade level.
- Good communication skills, technical writing skills, and computer skills.
- An inquisitive nature, an ability to follow written and verbal directions, and strong professional ethics.
