About the Role
Jericho Road Community Health Center is seeking an Internal Medicine/Family Medicine Physician to provide high-quality primary care across all medical sites. This role is integral to the organization's mission of caring for communities and advocating for systemic health equity.
Responsibilities
- Maintain electronic medical records efficiently and maximize resources.
- Provide high-quality primary care for adult, pediatric, and obstetric patients.
- Offer comprehensive, patient- and family-centered care.
- Ensure consistent, cost-effective care.
- Provide inpatient adult, pediatric, and obstetric care as part of a call pool.
- Provide patient care in a wholistic manner, addressing physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary clinical and program teams.
- Create a learning plan including familiarity with new research and changes in the standard of practice.
- Participate in quality improvement activities with a data-driven approach.
- Work with family medicine and pediatrics residents.
- Attend required staff and provider meetings, except when clinical activities prevent attendance.
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy, licensed to practice in New York State prior to start date.
- Completion of a three-year or four-year Family Medicine Residency.
- Board-eligible from the American Board of Family Medicine; Board-certified within one year of employment.
- Passion for high-quality primary health care and community development among a culturally and linguistically diverse urban population.
- Demonstrated ability to develop collaborative working relationships.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team environment.
- Willingness to be flexible.
- Proficient in utilizing electronic health records.
- Reliable transportation within the city of Buffalo.
- Experience working with low-income, diverse, multilingual populations is highly desired.
