About the Role

Air Canada is seeking an experienced and dynamic Technical Analyst to support IT solutioning for Product Distribution applications. This role involves collaboration with internal teams and external providers, contributing to major IT transformation projects and the evolution of Air Canada's NDC solution.

Responsibilities

  • Solution, deliver, and maintain the NDC portal and the Air Canada agent portal.
  • Troubleshoot partner issues with IT cross-functional teams and provide prompt solutions.
  • Support partners in their onboarding to the Air Canada Distribution Journey.
  • Host product/project meetings, improve cross-discipline communications, and promote product management best practices.
  • Maintain and update technical documents and procedures.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to collect and use information for improved operational and commercial performance.
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal users to develop, evaluate, install, and test software enhancements.
  • Review and analyze data from multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Communicate analysis results and make recommendations to relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide support for business analysis and technology/business integration efforts.
  • Conduct requirement and systems analysis and translate business requirements.
  • Support multiple working methodologies such as Hybrid, Agile, DevOps.
  • Support planning and monitoring processes.
  • Provide management with economic impact and compliance issues surrounding key business decisions.
  • Support definition and maintenance of methods, techniques, and calculations for improving business/technical processes.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of IT technology or operations experience in a large company, preferably in the Transportation/Airline domain.
  • Experience working with NDC (New Distribution Capability) APIs and schemas in an airline distribution environment is an asset.
  • Familiarity with airline offer and order management standards as defined by IATA NDC implementations.
  • Understanding of ITIL, SDLC, Agile methodologies, Jira, and cyber security risk management frameworks are assets.
  • Knowledge of APIs and Tools like SOAP UI/Postman is a must.
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and independent worker.
  • Possess investigative nature and be self-motivated.
  • Results-oriented with a proactive and methodical approach to problem-solving.
  • Able to multi-task and work under pressure against tight deadlines and changing priorities.
  • Must be a team player with the ability to work closely with diverse groups and working styles.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective business relationships.
  • Good knowledge of implemented web/application initiatives.
  • Ability to follow processes and directives.
  • Knowledge with User Acceptance Testing, Quality Assurance testing, and has impact assessment skills.
  • Flexibility and willingness to work extended hours when required.
  • Demonstrate punctuality and dependability to support overall team success in a fast-paced environment.
  • Candidates must be eligible to work in the country of interest and are responsible for obtaining any required work permits, visas, or other authorizations.
  • Prior to their start date, candidates will need to provide proof of their eligibility to work in the country of interest.
