About the Role
Tower Research Capital is a leading quantitative trading firm seeking individuals to operate and supervise automated trading strategies. This role involves monitoring production trading for risk and compliance, troubleshooting issues, and developing scripts to automate trading systems. You will analyze trading data and market conditions to improve strategies, working an early morning schedule aligned with market hours.
Responsibilities
- Operate and supervise automated trading strategies in collaboration with quantitative traders and software developers.
- Monitor production trading for risk and compliance, responding promptly to unusual behaviors or market conditions.
- Proactively troubleshoot and resolve issues related to daily trading activities.
- Develop programming scripts and applications to automate and facilitate the trading system.
- Analyze production trades and market data to identify opportunities for improving trading strategies.
- Work an early morning schedule to provide trading and production support aligned with relevant market hours.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a technical or quantitative field (e.g., computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics).
- Prior experience in a trade monitoring, trading, or trade support role is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze trading data, investigate issues, and draw actionable conclusions.
- Good understanding of futures markets, including products, trading venues, market structure, and risk management.
- Good understanding of algorithmic trading technology and architecture, including UNIX/Linux environments and monitoring applications.
- Experience with Python for supporting existing infrastructure and identifying improvements.
- Ability to work effectively on complex tasks, take initiative, and assume increasing responsibility.
- Excellent communication skills and fluency in English.
