About the Role
In this role, you will independently manage and significantly shape the controlling function. You will join our finance team, working across various companies with approximately 150,000 bookings annually. You will analyze figures, understand variances, and create sound decision-making foundations, while also ensuring thorough and detailed ongoing accounting down to the document level. You will collaborate directly with the CFO and have the autonomy to build reporting and controlling structures from the ground up.
Responsibilities
- Analysis of planned vs. actual deviations and derivation of business measures
- Preparation of budgets, forecasts, reports, and liquidity overviews for internal and external stakeholders
- Maintenance and implementation of monthly reporting, including commentary on the P&L
- Active support in upcoming annual financial statements according to HGB (Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow)
- Participation in ongoing financial accounting, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and fixed assets accounting
- Detailed review, coding, and booking of incoming and outgoing invoices
- Intercompany reconciliations and settlements between companies
- Administration of payment transactions
- Coordination with tax advisors, auditors, and financial administration
Requirements
- Several years of professional experience in controlling, ideally in a multi-entity environment or a role with broad independent responsibility
- Controlling competence: Derive KPIs, forecasts, and business measures from figures and independently build reporting structures
- Sound experience in accounting (accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, intercompany) as well as detailed invoice review and coding
- A solid understanding of HGB financial statements, ideally with experience in contributing to annual financial statements
- Proficient use of DATEV is required, along with strong Excel skills
- Quick comprehension, a high degree of independence, and a good eye for detail
- Fluent German and English language skills, both written and spoken
