About the Role
Responsible for providing analytical support for Eversource business functions, including participating in task forces, special studies, business cases, financial and economic analysis, cost-benefit analysis, and development/monitoring of metrics.
Responsibilities
- Analyzes processes and data to provide value-added insights.
- Delivers timely, accurate, and actionable information for operational leaders.
- Identifies and facilitates the implementation of process improvements.
- Understands IT solutions and their application to business needs.
- Performs ad-hoc querying and reporting as requested.
- Collaborates with various departments to analyze data and processes.
- Develops reports, prepares presentations, writes procedures, and performs other necessary activities.
- Performs and implements special assignments.
- Maintains awareness of staffing and workforce availability to identify resource gaps.
- Converts operational information into concise reporting and analysis for leadership.
- Supports management with financial visibility and tracking of commitments.
- Responsible for storm restoration and emergency assignments.
- Available for emergency restoration assignments.
- Available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.
Requirements
- Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, statistical, and mathematical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with budgeting and accounting concepts.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, charts, and functions.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Access, Word, and PowerPoint is preferred.
- Experience with electrical utilities and electrical distribution systems is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of three to five years of related experience required.
- Must be available to work emergency restoration assignments.
- Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.
