About the Role
HealthPro Heritage has a great Part-Time Pianist opportunity at The Hebrew Home in Riverdale, NY, a retirement community. This role involves performing live music for residents during the week, with occasional weekend availability. A strong preference will be given to candidates who have some experience playing a secondary portable instrument and are comfortable moving throughout the venue while performing.
Responsibilities
- Perform live music for residents during the week
- Perform during weekdays with occasional weekend availability
- Adapt music selections to meet residents’ preferences and abilities
Requirements
- Proficiency in one or more musical instruments and the ability to perform live for an audience
- Experience performing for older adults or in a senior living, healthcare, or community setting preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a warm, engaging presence
- Ability to adapt music selections to meet residents’ preferences and abilities
- Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor
- Availability to perform during weekdays with occasional weekend availability
- Some experience playing a secondary portable instrument
- Comfortable moving throughout the venue while performing
