About the Role
Hudson River Trading (HRT) offers the Women in Trading and Technology Internship (WiTTI), a 2-4 week program designed for students curious about quantitative trading. This program provides an introduction to the industry's technical aspects, hands-on programming projects, and learning opportunities in software engineering and algorithm development.
Responsibilities
- Introduction to technical facets of the quantitative trading industry
- Hands-on independent programming projects in Python and C++
- Learn about software engineering and algorithm development (quantitative research)
- Attend tech talks and seminars
- Participate in social and networking events
Requirements
- Full-time undergraduate student graduating between fall 2028 and summer 2030
- Technical or quantitative discipline (math, physics, computer science, statistics, or related program)
- Demonstrated programming experience
- Familiarity with C, C++, Python, and/or Rust is preferred
- Passion for technology and excitement for learning
- Exceptional problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills
- Individuals without extensive experience in the quantitative trading industry
