About the Role
Novelis is seeking a Mechanical Engineer intern to join the team for approximately 10 to 12 weeks. This internship offers the opportunity to participate in meaningful work and gain hands-on industry experience, reporting to the Associate EMRA Leader.
Responsibilities
- Learn about industrial machinery, mechanical power transmission, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
- Provide support for various Mechanical or Reliability Engineering Projects.
- Develop and modify engineering drawings and models using CAD software.
- Participate in problem solving activities including breakdown repairs and root cause analysis.
- Work under the supervision of staff engineers to implement latest reliability and maintenance standards to equipment.
Requirements
- Enrolled in an accredited 4-year University
- Must obtain the classification Junior or Senior.
- Interested in gaining hands-on industry experience prior to graduation
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills which are essential for interacting with all levels of the organization
- Familiar with MS Office and AutoCAD products.
- Must be currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer
