About the Role
The Centre for Information Resilience (CIR) is seeking an individual to support, monitor, maintain, and refine IT and security service delivery across SaaS and IaaS platforms, including AzureAD, M365, and AWS. This role involves supporting a diverse hardware and OS ecosystem and executing day-to-day IT operational tasks. The position requires constructive questioning of existing workflows and technologies to propose operational improvements and uses technical skill and creative thinking to evolve operational security delivery.
Responsibilities
- Support, monitor, maintain and refine IT and security service delivery across SaaS and IaaS platforms, including AzureAD, M365, and AWS.
- Support and maintain a diverse hardware and OS ecosystem (Windows, MacOS, Linux, iOS, Android).
- Execute day-to-day IT operational tasks, ranging from complex technical investigations to routine account provisioning, patch management, and vulnerability remediation.
- Support internal audit processes and compliance baselines (e.g., Cyber Essentials), identifying gaps and contributing to security risk management processes.
- Constructively question existing workflows, technologies, and delivery methods to propose actionable operational improvements.
- Use technical skill and creative thinking to support and help evolve operational security delivery across investigation activities in a highly challenging, diverse and constantly evolving environment.
Requirements
- Active UK SC Clearance, or full eligibility to undergo SC vetting.
- Meticulous approach to compliance, access management, and documentation in a fast-changing environment.
- Proactive in identifying inefficiencies or opportunities for improvements, asking constructive questions, and suggesting viable solutions.
- Genuine dedication to the company’s core objectives and a desire to maximise team impact daily.
- Comfortable switching seamlessly between high-level analytical tasks and repetitive, mundane support duties without loss of quality.
