About the Role
Technical sales professional responsible for leading the Cisco brand with customers and partners, providing technical solutions to address business needs, and collaborating with account teams to ensure customer success. Serves as a trusted technical advisor.
Responsibilities
- Provides technical solutions to address customer and partner business needs.
- Collaborates with the account team and connected sales teams on the customer plan.
- Serves as an authority or trusted technical advisor by the account team and customer/partner.
- Increases penetration via cross/up-selling and displaces competition.
- Owns technical relationship with customer(s)/partner(s).
- Leads engagements with IT & decision makers at customer/partner and LOB interaction.
- Knowledgeable of customer environment and market, including competitor plays.
- Primary technical sales influencer.
- Translates customer/partner business need into technical requirements.
- Takes the lead on moving deals across technical sales process.
- Designs and presents relevant solution based on technical and business requirements identified by the customer or partner.
- Manages virtual support team of sales resources.
- Leverages relevant tools and resources to support a deal.
- Leads multi-year strategic plans by integrating Cisco’s portfolio with its ecosystem and partner network.
- Leverages deep expertise of Cisco’s portfolio to create new knowledge and collaborates with engineering to shape future products.
- Leads organizations’ technical strategy as a trusted technology and business advisor to C-suite executives.
- Unifies customer’s business vision with emerging industry trends to develop cross-architecture solutions.
- Leads disruptive cross-architecture roadmaps for customers.
- Conceives the overarching vision for demand generation and enablement imperatives.
- Unlocks customer’s untapped market potential through cross-architecture strategies.
- Steers demonstrations to showcase tailored solutions, driving transformation and meeting key business objectives.
- Uses advanced competitive intelligence to drive sustainable market advantage for Cisco.
- Unifies and integrates a diverse coalition of stakeholders to drive synergies and nurture deep, enduring customer relationships.
- Shapes SE teams, engineering teams and leadership to develop innovative knowledge-sharing frameworks, and steer cross-functional informative strategies.
- Drives organizational agility by developing GTM-wide market adaptation strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree+ 12 years of experience, or Masters degree+ 8 years of related experience, or PhD + 5 years of experience.
- 5+ years of broad and deep technical knowledge across one of the following areas: Security, observability, event, or network management.
Skills
- Solid understanding of Cisco’s portfolio, including specialized/architecture perspective.
- Communication and presentation skills with internal partners or external customers.
- Observability or security pre-sales experience.
- Experience in a thought leadership role (e.g., public speaking, writing technical blogs or whitepapers).

Salary/Compensations
- $239,200.00 - $314,900.00 (U.S. and/or Canada)
- $266,100.00 - $394,300.00 (New York City Metro Area)
- $246,800.00 - $383,500.00 (Non-Metro New York state & Washington state)
