About the Role
JLL is seeking a Gas Engineering Supervisor to lead a team of gas engineers across multiple high-profile commercial properties in London. Responsibilities
- Oversee a team of gas engineers and technicians across multiple London sites.
- Provide technical mentorship and conduct safety briefings.
- Drive excellence in diagnostics and customer service.
- Perform hands-on advanced diagnostics, complex repairs, and installations on commercial heating systems, boilers, and plant room equipment.
- Ensure 100% compliance with Gas Safety Regulations.
- Oversee inspections and certification.
- Manage compliance tracking through SharePoint systems.
- Build strong relationships with clients, building managers, and specialist contractors.
- Coordinate maintenance to minimize disruption.
- Attend monthly Gas forums.
- Represent engineering excellence at every level.
- Lead rapid response teams during emergency gas situations.
- Make critical decisions under pressure during emergencies.
- Ensure safe and effective resolution of emergency gas situations.
- Conduct technical audits.
- Investigate incidents and implement lessons learned.
- Raise standards of gas engineering delivery.
Requirements
- Gas Safe registered with full commercial and domestic tickets (CCN1, CPA1, CENWAT, COCN1, CODNCO1, ICPN1, CORT1, CDGA1, CIGA1, TPCP1A).
- Minimum 5 years' commercial gas engineering experience.
- Proven track record leading or mentoring engineers.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Deep knowledge of commercial plant rooms, boilers, and heating systems.
- Confident with compliance requirements, audits, and technical documentation.
- Experience with complex diagnostics and problem-solving.
- Understanding of modern BMS and control systems.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to motivate teams and develop talent.
- Calm under pressure with strong decision-making ability.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Readiness to grow beyond the role and pursue a leadership career in facilities management.
