Responsibilities
- Thoroughly understand decision process issues of technology choice, such as capacities, response time, data interfacing, and client-server communication.
- Participate in building new and ongoing vendor relationships.
- Evaluate and select from existing and emerging technologies those options that best fit business/project needs.
- Promote sharing of expertise through consulting, presentations, and documentation.
- Carry out complex initiatives involving multiple disciplines and/or ambiguous issues.
- Display a balanced, cross-functional perspective, liaising with the business to help improve efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity.
- Develop, implement, and administer programs within functional areas strategically.
- Provide leadership and guidance to staff, fostering an environment that encourages employee participation, teamwork, and communication.
Requirements
- Deep knowledge of application or infrastructure systems architecture, with experience in multiple system technologies.
- Excellent consultative and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with clients, partners, and IT management and staff.
- Strong project management skills.
- Strong analytical ability.
- Knowledge of several high-level languages and Assembler language is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline and experience in information system architecture methodologies, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
