About the Role

Oversee the Integrated Marketing team supporting the commercial and personal activities of the David Beckham brand, encompassing communications, social, and digital strategies. This role is a fixed-term maternity cover.

Responsibilities

  • Lead an integrated marketing team comprising communications, PR, social, and digital specialists.
  • Liaise closely with internal creative and brand partnership teams.
  • Create and elevate communications strategies for David Beckham and his brand partners, with ad hoc support for other Authentic Brands Group Entertainment brands in EMEA.
  • Drive an effective communications schedule, creating key moments that deliver excellence.
  • Influence at a senior level, both internally and externally.
  • Identify and unlock innovative strategic communications opportunities across multiple platforms and channels.
  • Act as a brand gatekeeper and representative with excellent judgment and decision-making.
  • Support the wider communications needs of the principal’s family where necessary.
  • Drive strategic thinking across teams while delivering world-class communications moments.
  • Ensure reputational protection of the principal’s brand globally.
  • Understand the business’ wider commercial objectives and priorities and their effect on the integrated marketing team’s roadmap.
  • Work in tandem with brand partnerships to find innovative ways to elevate brand output and ensure positive business outcomes.
  • Continuously absorb media, industry, sports, fashion, entertainment, and other relevant trade/corporate news developments.

Requirements

  • Self-motivation and the ability to make decisions in a fast-moving environment.
  • Experience in driving strategic thinking across teams.
  • Must have experience in the worlds of sports, entertainment, or with large-scale global brands.
  • An understanding of the global media landscape with excellent media handling skills and relationships.
  • Excellent team management and mentorship skills.
  • Ability to influence and thrive at a senior level in a corporate environment.
  • Possible travel at some points in the year although not regular.
  • Minimum 15 years’ experience working in a communications or integrated marketing environment.
  • Proven track record of team management and effective cross-functional team liaison in a sports, entertainment, or wider brand context (in-house or agency).
  • Experience in world-class talent management.
  • Ability to manage a cross-functional marketing team (social, digital, and PR).
  • Excellent media handling skills in a global context.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Experience in managing multiple communications agencies.
