About the Role

You will be part of a global middle office trade support allocation technology team, based in Tokyo and interacting with global counterparts. This role involves supporting daily allocation workflows in the Fidessa CTAC application, investigating and resolving issues, and learning proprietary in-house systems.

Responsibilities

  • Be part of a global middle office trade support allocation technology team based in Tokyo.
  • Interact with global counterparts across the globe.
  • Support daily allocation workflows in the Fidessa CTAC application.
  • Investigate and resolve Middle Office allocation issues with CTM, FIX 4.4, Tag 1 pre-allocation, allocation templates, and manual allocation workflows.
  • Status and troubleshoot issues with blocks sent to Fidessa CTAC from upstream Fidessa global trading platforms.
  • Status and troubleshoot issues with blocks sent by a proprietary Jefferies system from algorithmic and DMA trading systems into Fidessa CTAC.
  • Status and troubleshoot issues with affirmed allocations passing from Fidessa CTAC to downstream Jefferies systems.
  • Learn a proprietary in-house Jefferies application integrated with Fidessa CTAC.
  • Enter JIRAs for end-user enhancement requests and bug fixes.
  • Participate in designing new Fidessa CTAC allocation functionality.
  • Perform post-release application checkouts.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the investment industry/financial markets across different equity businesses (CASH/ETS/SWAP/Derivative/FX etc.).
  • Knowledge of global equity trading and allocation workflows.
  • Experience with Fidessa CTAC module and Fidessa FDM.
  • Experience supporting a trading or allocation system from a technology perspective (e.g., configuring layouts, updating registry files, guiding users on installation and launch).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication in English.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
