About the Role
As part of our business editorial team, you will significantly shape the formats of our loop editorial team. You will ensure that our community is informed about relevant national and international developments in business, politics, and finance in a well-founded, understandable, and multi-perspective manner, serving as a basis for differentiated opinion formation.
Responsibilities
- Research, evaluate, and prepare daily national and international news with a focus on business and finance.
- Develop precise, well-structured scripts for the news segments of our podcast, making complex contexts accessible.
- Take on content responsibility for individual episodes, including journalistic quality, together with our editorial management.
- Identify interesting conversation partners, recruit them for interviews, and prepare them content-wise and technically for recording.
- Collaborate with the social media team to develop podcast content for different platforms and adapt it to suitable formats.
- Actively engage with our community and foster discussions around the podcast.
Requirements
- Solid journalistic foundation through a traineeship or journalism school.
- Ideally, experience in a business or news editorial office and a desire for more responsibility.
- Genuine interest and a good sense for relevance in economic and financial contexts.
- High journalistic standards, fact-based, precise work, and clear explanations of complex topics.
- Reliable work and sound editorial decisions, even under time pressure.
- Commitment to balanced, multi-perspective reporting.
- Openness to new tools and enthusiasm for integrating AI into the editorial workflow.
- Ideally, possess a network of interesting experts or enjoy building one.
