About the Role
Support the Director of Clinical Services in the clinical leadership and operational management of the hospital. This is a varied role involving collaboration across departments and with various stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Provide robust evidence and assurance of compliance to the DCS.
- Lead on specific professional development issues with the Director of Clinical Services.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to clinical teams, ensuring best practice.
- Support the SMT with hospital strategy and directives to meet operational requirements.
- Review and establish new trends, embedding innovation and excellence into clinical practice.
- Develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders to ensure a patient-centered focus.
- Review and update Clinical Policies and SOPs.
- Attend and Chair clinical meetings.
- Lead and manage change effectively.
- Offer expert clinical guidance.
- Support and manage clinical pathways for safe patient journeys.
- Lead on patient experience and engagement, managing complaints and feedback to assure service quality.
- Comply with all CQC standards and ensure readiness for inspection.
Requirements
- Registered healthcare professional with active registration, ideally with clinical management experience.
- At least 2 years in management positions with a focus on developing clinical teams and a track record of performance management.
- Evidence of managing change and supporting strategic management initiatives.
- Experience supporting the commercial development of clinical services, including new business and innovative opportunities.
- Experience of consultant engagement to increase business performance and ability to challenge consultants.
- Experience in data reporting and patient outcomes (NICOR/JAG etc.).
