About the Role

Abbott is a global healthcare leader focused on creating breakthrough science to improve people's health. This Product Manager role is within the Established Pharmaceutical division, based in the UAE, and focuses on managing products for the GEM & Levant markets.

Responsibilities

  • Develop annual marketing plans and coordinate their implementation to achieve sales, profit, and market share goals.
  • Assess competitive standing of product portfolio, manage new product introductions, upgrades, and discontinuation of non-strategic products.
  • Perform sales and investments forecasting and budgeting, tracking on a monthly basis.
  • Use monitoring data to propose strategic planning and tactics.
  • Prepare objectives, strategies, tactics plans, and sales forecasts for responsible products.
  • Translate strategy into key implementation milestones and allocate responsibilities to cross-functional teams.
  • Orchestrate the execution of marketing plans within cross-functional teams, ensuring regular progress reviews.
  • Develop and create marketing materials with the Medical team and other cross-functional groups.
  • Design training programs to enhance sales team professionalism in selling focused products.
  • Ensure project timelines are met and financial results are maximized.
  • Assess the effectiveness of tactical initiatives and measure customer response.
  • Monitor budgets and expenditures to ensure alignment with plan commitments.
  • Monitor KPIs including sales, market share, and profitability.
  • Conduct joint field calls with the sales team to provide assistance and gather market insights.
  • Develop a deep understanding of customer needs and market trends.
  • Identify growth opportunities and create strategies for profitable market share.
  • Focus on customer satisfaction, quality, and compliance.
  • Develop and implement plans to build relationships with key customers.
  • Identify opportunities to align brand and customer goals for new business development.
  • Optimize customer synergies to develop brand/market advocates.
  • Develop multi-year marketing plans and product roadmaps.
  • Develop and implement marketing programs and campaigns to drive brand growth.
  • Develop and execute digital marketing roadmaps and initiatives.
  • Ensure all business activities comply with relevant Acts, legal demands, and ethical standards.
  • Forecast market and product performance, providing input for plans and new product launches.
  • Review and analyze the results of marketing campaigns.
  • Monitor product and market performance, identifying critical areas and creating programs to address them.
  • Coordinate work and lead agencies.
  • Lead effective communication with Area & Global Marketing Teams.
  • Develop, implement, and update product training for the sales force.
  • Build strong relationships with Opinion Leaders.
  • Monitor monthly sales and inventories, ensuring sufficient forecast to cover market demands and gaps.

Requirements

  • A basic degree in pharmacy, veterinary, or medical sciences.
  • Minimum of 5 years Sales / Marketing experience within the Pharma industry.
  • At least 2 years of experience in Marketing managing Gulf and Emerging markets.
  • Experience in marketing Consumer Healthcare products including DTC & ATL activities/campaigns.
  • Experience with initiating digital marketing activities/campaigns.
  • Strong sales / marketing track record.
  • Fluent English (proficient in verbal and written communication).
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Good knowledge of computer-based programs including Excel and Power Point.
  • Must be driven, a team player, and possess strong business acumen and interpersonal skills.
  • Achieve Plan sales and margin.

  • Digital & MCE marketing experience
  • Arabic language proficiency is a plus
