About the Role
WTW is investing significantly in digital products within the risk and broking industry. The Product team is expanding, hiring four Product Analysts to work within core product domains that drive the operation and growth of WTW’s digital business. This role is crucial for translating product intent into working software, collaborating closely with Product Owners and engineering teams to define and document requirements, and ensuring features deliver value.
Responsibilities
- Shape ideas into clear, well-bounded requirements by running workshops and interviewing users.
- Turn PRDs and discovery outputs into actionable deliverables like epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Define success metrics for deliverables, including acceptance criteria and data capture.
- Keep requirements current throughout the build process, managing changes and ensuring documentation accuracy.
- Maintain a well-groomed backlog with the Product Owner, ensuring stories are refined and estimated.
- Serve as the primary contact for requirements questions during build, resolving ambiguity for engineers.
- Support squad ceremonies (refinement, sprint planning, reviews) with user and business context.
- Track delivery against PRD intent and flag scope, dependency, or timeline drifts.
- Plan and coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT), including defining scenarios and managing sign-off.
- Triage defects and feedback with the Product Owner and engineering team.
- Support release readiness through walkthroughs, training material, and operational checks.
- Feed UAT findings back into the backlog for continuous improvement.
- Build trusted relationships with business teams and users, such as brokers and claims handlers.
- Gather feedback from users and observe work processes to inform requirements.
- Translate business language into product requirements and vice versa.
- Understand and translate business data requirements into consistent schemas.
- Support post-release adoption through walkthroughs and follow-up.
- Define and track measures of success, including adoption, usage, and business outcomes.
- Report progress candidly, incorporating data and user feedback.
- Contribute to the Product Analyst cohort by sharing templates, standards, and practices.
Requirements
- Solid experience as a business analyst or product analyst on software delivery teams.
- Proven record of taking requirements from ambiguity through to delivered, adopted features.
- Strong requirements elicitation skills through workshops and interviews.
- Ability to write clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Experience mapping processes and data flows.
- Hands-on experience planning and running UAT, including scenario design and test coordination.
- Experience with defect triage and sign-off processes.
- Experience working directly with engineers in agile delivery.
- Clear communicator and facilitator, credible with both business and technical stakeholders.
- Data literacy, including defining measures and using data to support change.
- Organized and self-directed, capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
