About the Role
This is a unique opportunity to strengthen and develop your clinical expertise by providing both assessments and therapeutic interventions to a variety of people between the ages of 7 and 65 years old, who present with neurological disorders and other types of disabilities. In collaboration with your supportive multidisciplinary team, you will be working with clients and their families and caregivers, many of whom have NDIS funding, both in the community setting and in our clinic spaces.
Responsibilities
- Providing treatment to a variety of people who rely on you to improve their lives.
- Assess client needs, design appropriate therapy plans, and advocate on their behalf.
- Work with participants with a range of conditions including Autism, Post-Stroke and Parkinsons.
- Support participants in the disability and neuro sector across adult and child language, social communication and swallowing/dysphagia using a range of AAC devices.
- Collaborate with your multidisciplinary team consisting of Physiotherapists, Exercise Physiologists, Occupational Therapists and Positive Behaviour Support Practitioners to share knowledge and ideas.
- Celebrate “Weekly Wins” with your participants, their families, your colleagues, and your supportive Leadership Team.
- Attend formal and informal opportunities for networking and learning and development across a national level.
- Report directly to the NDIS.
Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Speech Pathology.
- 1+ years’ post-qualification experience.
- 3+ years post qualification for Senior Positions.
- Own car and a valid driver’s licence.
- Speech Pathology Australia Registration.
- Police Check.
- Working with Children Check.
