About the Role
The 2027 SF Fed Summer Internship Program offers college and graduate students the opportunity to experience work-life in a vibrant, dynamic, and collaborative environment. The program is designed for interns to experience professional and personal growth, working closely with managers and team members while contributing to the Bank's mission of public service. Interns will contribute to finding solutions and identifying opportunities critical to their team's and the Bank's success.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with economists and research associates on quantitative research analysis using economic and financial data.
- Work closely with economists on research questions and real-world policy issues.
Requirements
- Superior academic record with a strong quantitative background (econometrics, statistics, advanced calculus, or computer programming).
- An interest in economics or finance is essential.
- Ability to work independently and with a team.
- Ability to prioritize and balance multiple projects.
- Effective interpersonal and behavioral competencies such as collaboration, innovation, and leadership.
- Full-time undergraduate or graduate students currently enrolled in an accredited community college, four-year college, or university with an expected graduation date between December 2027 – June 2028.
- U.S. Citizen or Permanent Residency.
- Keen interest in public service, and the overall mission-driven work of the SF Fed.
- Demonstrated leadership ability.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week for the full duration of the 10.5-week internship.
- Ability to work 5 days per week in-office.
