About the Role
We are looking for a Legal Counsel (m/f/d) specializing in labor law to competently and pragmatically support our company in all labor law matters.
Responsibilities
- Independent management of labor court proceedings (e.g., dismissal protection lawsuits), including managing external law firms if necessary
- Mediation and negotiation with opposing parties (employees, legal representatives, works council)
- Creation and maintenance of labor law templates (contracts, dismissals, severance agreements, policies)
- Labor law advice for People Director, HR Business Partners, and managers
- Monitoring legal changes and ensuring labor law compliance
Requirements
- Completed 2nd state examination in law (fully qualified lawyer) – mandatory
- 5-10 years of professional experience in labor law, including independent litigation
- Experience in negotiation/mediation and in drafting labor law templates
- Specialist lawyer title in labor law and experience with works councils are advantageous
- Pragmatic, independent working style, suitable for a startup environment
- Fluent German at at least C1 level and good English skills
