About the Role

Flatpay is building its US business and seeks a Product Specialist to connect the US market reality with the product organization in Denmark. This role will ensure US merchant needs shape product development, enable US teams, and ensure clear and impactful product launches. The Product Specialist will act as an embedded product thinker, possessing both technical understanding and commercial acumen.

Responsibilities

Own product expertise for the US market, serving as the primary point of contact for Sales, Support, and Operations.
Train and enable local teams through onboarding, product updates, hands-on support, and associated enablement materials.
Translate HQ product releases into clear, sales-ready communication for the US market.
Gather and structure US market feedback, including adoption blockers, UX friction, bugs, satisfaction signals, and feature requests.
Own the "Voice of the US Market," providing regular, structured readouts to HQ Product on US merchant experiences.
Partner with Product Managers in the US and at HQ to incorporate field insights into the roadmap and advocate for US requirements.
Conduct frequent merchant interviews and sales ride-alongs to ensure input is evidence-based.
Coordinate the US rollout of new products and features, identifying necessary adaptations.
Import successful processes and features from European markets.
Assist in resolving complex merchant cases with Support, Operations, and Engineering.
Establish the operating rhythm for the US function, including cadences, feedback loops, documentation, and demo environments.
Proactively identify and address issues rather than reactively handling tickets.

Requirements

3+ years of experience in product, product operations, sales enablement, customer success, or solutions, or a comparable background.
Based in New York City.
Willing to work early mornings to overlap with Denmark's time zone.
Ability to quickly learn technical systems and teach them to non-technical individuals.
Strong interpersonal and written communication skills for asynchronous influence at HQ.
Structured and self-directed approach to building processes.
Comfort operating without formal decision-making authority, relying on evidence and trust.
Willingness to travel approximately quarterly to Denmark for onboarding, workshops, and off-sites, plus domestic travel.
Authorized to work in the United States.
