About the Role
As FP&A Manager, you will own the financial planning and analysis process for Student Living and BTR operational assets, ensuring accurate, consistent, and timely budgeting and forecasting. You will act as the key contact for all budgeting and forecasting matters and serve as a commercial business partner, generating insights on expenses, occupancy, room rates, and revenue drivers. You will lead process improvements and mentor a Senior FP&A accountant.
Responsibilities
- Leading the annual budget and reforecasting process, working closely with leadership and Business Units to build accurate forecasts
- Preparing and maintaining short and medium-term cash flow forecasts, working with Treasury on cash management and covenant monitoring
- Business partnering with operational, corporate and functional teams to translate budgets into financial outcomes and challenge assumptions
- Preparing monthly and quarterly performance analysis, highlighting key trends, risks and opportunities
- Drafting quarterly management reports with detailed commentary on performance versus budget and forecast
- Supporting KPIs, dashboards and senior management presentations, and leading ad hoc analysis and projects as needed
Requirements
- CPA or CA qualified accountant with 7-10+ years' experience in similar roles
- Experience working in the property funds management sector preferred
- Extensive experience in financial modelling, budgeting and forecasting, with significant exposure to FP&A within large, complex companies
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills, including complex formulas, structured models and scenario analysis
- Strong experience with budgeting systems and reporting tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI)
- Confident communicator, comfortable engaging constructively with non-finance and senior stakeholders
