About the Role

As Projects Sales Manager, you will be responsible for growing Primech's Projects Division by identifying, developing, and winning new business opportunities across public and private sectors. This proactive sales role focuses on building relationships, creating opportunities, and securing profitable M&E projects by meeting clients, consultants, architects, developers, and main contractors. You will own opportunities from initial contact to contract award, collaborating with internal teams to ensure competitive and high-quality bids. We seek an individual who excels at opening doors, fostering long-term relationships, and driving business growth, playing a key role in strengthening Primech's reputation and securing suitable projects.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across healthcare, education, commercial, blue-light, and industrial sectors.
  • Monitor upcoming projects, framework opportunities, procurement routes, and market activity to maintain a strong pipeline.
  • Research competitors, market trends, and sector developments to identify growth opportunities.
  • Develop business development plans aligned with Primech's objectives.
  • Secure places on approved contractor lists, frameworks, and other market access routes.
  • Share market insights and opportunities with the Senior Leadership Team.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, architects, developers, main contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Implement a structured client engagement program.
  • Represent Primech professionally at meetings, networking events, and industry exhibitions.
  • Maintain up-to-date CRM records of all activity, opportunities, communications, and forecasts.
  • Collaborate with Contracts Managers for smooth project handover.
  • Promote Primech's values, capabilities, and quality commitment in client interactions.
  • Maintain regular contact with key clients to understand future opportunities.
  • Lead introductory meetings with prospective clients to understand project requirements.
  • Assess opportunities and contribute to bid/no-bid decisions.
  • Coordinate tender submissions, ensuring proposals are commercially competitive and technically sound.
  • Attend site visits, surveys, and pre-tender meetings.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations, capability statements, and tender clarification responses.
  • Collaborate with the Estimating Team on pricing strategies, value engineering, and alternative solutions.
  • Negotiate scope, commercial terms, and contract details.
  • Maintain accurate records of tender activity and outcomes.
  • Review unsuccessful bids to identify areas for improvement.
  • Lead project handovers to Contracts Managers, ensuring effective transfer of information.
  • Support mobilization activities for successful project starts.
  • Assist with commercial matters during project delivery.
  • Conduct client review meetings to gather feedback and identify improvements.
  • Seek testimonials, referrals, and case study opportunities.
  • Identify and share opportunities for repeat business and account growth.
  • Provide regular updates on pipeline activity, opportunities, sales performance, and revenue forecasts.
  • Support the development of marketing materials, client presentations, and business development campaigns.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of Primech's services, project portfolio, and operational capabilities.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Contribute positively to the wider business and support company growth objectives.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to align opportunities with operational delivery capabilities.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of the M&E building services sector and wider construction market.
  • Proven ability to identify, develop, and win new business opportunities.
  • Experience reviewing tender documents, specifications, and project information.
  • Excellent relationship-building and networking skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Commercially aware with an understanding of procurement routes and contract structures.
  • Confident negotiator with the ability to build trust while protecting commercial interests.
  • Self-motivated, organised, and able to manage multiple opportunities at different stages.
  • Competent user of CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and digital communication tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines.
  • Positive attitude with a genuine interest in construction, building services, and business development.
  • A proactive and self-motivated individual who enjoys generating new business opportunities.
  • Comfortable building relationships with new and existing clients.
