About the Role
As a Working Student in Firmware / Embedded Systems, you will support the development of our devices in the technical development process with initial individual tasks, working on hardware-related embedded systems for real-time applications.
Responsibilities
- Support the development and further development of embedded firmware for microcontroller systems.
- Participate in the programming and adaptation of STM32-based systems (C / ARM Cortex-M).
- Support testing, debugging, and error analysis with common measurement and analysis tools (e.g., oscilloscope, UART, SPI, I²C).
- Work on the integration of real-time data processing in embedded systems.
- Document technical developments and support project coordination.
- Collaborate closely with hardware development and external development partners.
Requirements
- Enrolled student (m/f/d) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable degree program.
- Secure knowledge of C and initial practical experience in embedded development (e.g., through projects or internships).
- Basic experience with microcontrollers (e.g., STM32 or ARM Cortex-M systems).
- Initial knowledge of hardware-related interfaces (UART, SPI, I²C).
- Interest in embedded systems and technical system development.
- Structured, reliable, and independent work style.
- Very good German language skills, both written and spoken (at least C1).
- Initial experience with RTOS or interrupt-driven systems is desirable.
- Interest in embedded Linux or multicore architectures is desirable.
