About the Role
MacStadium is seeking a Product Manager to own and optimize the entire user journey, focusing on reducing churn, improving conversion rates, and enhancing the overall product experience. This role will drive innovation in areas like AI and automation, and shape product design priorities for high impact, consistency, and usability across the platform.
Responsibilities
- Map and optimize the buyer and user journey from awareness to retention.
- Identify and address product discovery and usability friction points.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales on a strategic framework for product design.
- Analyze and address churn drivers, implementing retention-focused improvements.
- Lead efforts to improve signup-to-first-meeting and lead-to-purchase conversion rates.
- Identify opportunities to increase customer engagement and expansion.
- Conduct continuous customer and market discovery to identify unmet needs.
- Build business cases for new products, including problem definition, market sizing, and success metrics.
- Act as a strategic partner to domain product managers for a cohesive product experience.
- Develop strategy and foster project kickoffs in innovation areas like AI, clustering, and automation.
- Track emerging Apple Silicon, AI, and automation capabilities and translate them into opportunities.
- Partner with engineering and design leadership on product design investment priorities.
Requirements
- 6 or more years of product management experience in B2B SaaS, cloud infrastructure, or developer tools.
- Demonstrated experience mapping and optimizing a multi-step customer journey.
- Experience using data to identify and close friction points in discovery, conversion, or retention.
- Experience partnering with marketing, sales, and customer success/support to reduce churn and improve conversion.
- Comfort setting direction for product design priorities and balancing consistency and usability across a multi-product platform.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to align teams around a shared roadmap.
- Comfort working with data, defining metrics, and interpreting analytics for prioritization.
- Experience running customer and market discovery, including interviews and win/loss reviews.
- Experience building business cases for new products, including market sizing, pricing, and packaging hypotheses.
- Familiarity with the Apple developer ecosystem or mobile app development and CI/CD workflows is preferred.
- Experience with virtualization, containerization, or Kubernetes-based orchestration platforms is preferred.
- Experience seeding early-stage innovation initiatives is preferred.
- Background in product-led growth, onboarding, or trial and self-serve conversion optimization is preferred.
- Experience supporting enterprise, regulated, or security-conscious customers is preferred.
