About the Role

This varied role offers genuine ownership of titles from files through to print and delivery, managing schedules and troubleshooting technical issues.

Responsibilities

  • Manage schedules and take action to keep projects on track for new books, reprints, and other projects from files through to print and delivery.
  • Coordinate with a worldwide supplier base by providing accurate production, specification, packing, and delivery instructions, answering queries, and managing materials and approvals.
  • Ensure quality and safety standards by checking materials, proofs, and finished books, troubleshooting technical issues, and advising on production requirements.
  • Maintain accurate company system information, raise purchase orders, check invoices, resolve queries, and facilitate the smooth flow of production information.

Requirements

  • Organized and technically confident book production professional.
  • Ability to manage multiple schedules simultaneously.
  • Experience communicating with suppliers and colleagues.
  • Calmly troubleshoot production challenges.
  • Book production experience across a broad range of formats and specifications.
  • Solid technical knowledge of printing.
  • Experience managing schedules from files through to print and delivery.
  • Experience working with suppliers and customers internationally.
  • Effective communication and organizational skills to coordinate specifications, approvals, and deadlines.
  • Advanced Mac skills.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Meticulous attention to detail when reviewing data, files, and finished books.
  • Excellent organization and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Ability to confidently solve production problems.
