About the Role
Signature Companies is seeking High Value Residential Insurance Inspectors in the San Francisco area. This is an independent contractor (1099) role offering flexibility and the potential to supplement or become your main source of income.
Responsibilities
- Schedule and conduct on-site High Value Property Surveys.
- Coordinate and complete surveys within your own schedule.
- Manage accepted work assignments.
- Complete web-based reports in a timely manner.
- Visit properties, take photos and measurements, and note issues for the underwriter.
- Professionally interact with homeowners and insurance agents via phone, email, and in-person.
- Identify and document construction materials, characteristics, and unique features of the home.
- Obtain measurements of the home and other structures.
- Generate an estimated replacement value of the home and identify major hazards.
- Communicate gathered information through loss control 360.
Requirements
- Must have a smartphone, tablet, and personal computer.
- Must have a late model reliable vehicle.
- Must have Auto and General Liability Insurance.
- Must have high-speed internet.
- Must have a digital camera or smartphone with a 16mp camera or greater.
- Must have measuring devices such as a laser, soft tape measure, or measuring wheel.

Experience Level
- Experience in Insurance Adjusting, Home Appraisals, Real Estate or Construction is a plus.
- Experience using Rapid Sketch, Xactimate, CAD or other diagramming programs will be helpful.
- Prior underwriting experience is desirable.
- Prior inspection experience on residential homes is desirable.
- Loss control experience desirable.
- Construction experience desired, but not required.
Education Level
- BA or BS degree desired, but not required.
