About the Role
Signature Companies is seeking self-starting, self-motivated, and self-directed independent contractors (1099) to perform High Value Residential Insurance Inspections in Eastern New York. This role offers independence, flexibility, and daily challenges, serving as a potential supplement or primary income source.
Responsibilities
- Schedule and conduct on-site High Value Property Surveys.
- Coordinate and complete surveys within your own schedule.
- Manage accepted work assignments.
- Complete web-based reports in a timely manner.
- Visit properties, take photos and measurements.
- Note issues for underwriter attention.
- Professionally interact with homeowners and insurance agents via phone, email, and in-person.
- Identify and document construction materials, characteristics, and unique features of the home.
- Obtain measurements of the home and other structures.
- Generate an estimated replacement value of the home.
- Identify major hazards.
- Communicate gathered information in loss control 360 via the Signature website.
Requirements
- Must have a smartphone, tablet, and personal computer.
- Must have a late model reliable vehicle.
- Must have Auto and General Liability Insurance.
- Must have high-speed internet.
- Must have a Digital Camera or Smartphone with a 16mp camera or greater.
- Must have measuring devices such as a laser, soft tape measure, or measuring wheel.

- Construction experience desired, but not required.
