About the Role
The Tunnel to Towers Foundation is dedicated to honoring the sacrifice of first responders and military personnel, and to eradicating homelessness among veterans. This role ensures that homes built for veterans and injured service members comply with all codes and regulations, addressing their unique needs to improve their quality of life and restore independence.
Responsibilities
- Follow up with potential builders.
- Ensure construction process starts and ends on time and all deadlines are met.
- Meet weekly with Project Managers and Support Team to discuss progress, timelines, material acquisition, and change orders.
- Establish and manage relationships with builders and architects.
- Collect lien releases.
- Review owner’s representative reports to ensure owner’s needs are being met.
- Monitor daily logs in Buildertrend for ongoing updates.
- Travel to project locations, in and out of state, if required.
- Create weekly progress reports.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5-7 years of residential experience.
- Prior experience in a construction supervisory or management role.
- Ability to lead construction teams, oversee projects, and manage day-to-day field operations.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural plans.
- Detail oriented.
- Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Working knowledge of regulatory compliance, safety standards, and housing regulations.
- Ability to multitask multiple projects and supervise personnel.
- Proficient in construction management and business software, including Buildertrend, R.S. Means, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, Google Suite, or equivalent applications.
- Pre-employment screening, including a background check, is required.
