About the Role

OneFourTwo is seeking a highly motivated Structural Engineer for their White Plains, NY team. This role is responsible for project performance and profit from day one, empowering associates to drive their success.

Responsibilities

Communicate with technical drafting staff, clients, and external project team members.
Prepare preliminary designs for clients.
Utilize ASCE, AISC, ACI, and relevant building codes for high-quality, safe, and economical designs.
Attend client meetings.
Coordinate with construction project managers, architects, and civil and mechanical engineers.
Produce structural calculations for technical drafting staff during the preparation of construction documents and for construction.
Produce construction-ready design drawings coordinated with all disciplines.
Manage construction administration tasks, including shop drawing review, RFI responses, and coordination with construction teams.

Requirements

BS or MS in Civil/Structural Engineering.
2-5+ years of structural engineering building design experience, ideally in commercial construction.
Ability to prepare structural designs for steel, concrete, masonry, light gage steel, and understanding of foundation design.
Proficiency using Revit independently to create construction-level structural drawings is highly preferred.
Knowledge of analysis and design programs such as RAM Structural System, SAP2000, RISA, or another recognized 3D design package is preferred.
Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite.
