About the Role
As a working student in AI & Automation, you will work in a central role directly with our CEO, business units, and IT. Your focus will initially be on the Founder's Office and our Category Management, but also other areas. You will learn the processes in detail, identify suitable applications for AI, and implement selected solutions yourself. You will take projects from the initial idea through a Proof of Concept to a usable MVP. You will have freedom regarding the technologies and tokens used.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the CEO in the Founder's Office and Category Management team to understand workflows, bottlenecks, and recurring manual tasks.
- Identify processes where AI or automation can create tangible economic added value.
- Develop lean AI-powered solutions, such as agents, workflows, small internal tools, prompt-based processes, or API integrations.
- Work with LLM APIs, Python or TypeScript, n8n, and other modern AI and automation tools depending on the use case.
- Build Proofs of Concept, develop suitable approaches into usable MVPs, and test them directly with end-users.
- Coordinate interfaces, system access, permissions, security, and the path to productive operation with IT early on.
- Document functioning solutions and best practices so that other colleagues can understand, use, and further develop them.
- Observe new AI tools and pragmatically test which ones are suitable for our specific business processes.
Requirements
- You are studying Computer Science, Business Informatics, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Engineering, or a comparable field.
- You have already built something with AI yourself, e.g., an agent, a workflow, a small tool, an integration, or a personal project.
- You can program with Python and/or TypeScript and have a basic understanding of APIs, databases, and software architecture.
- You quickly learn new tools and technologies and enjoy practical application.
- You are interested in how people and teams work and can truly understand a problem through good questions.
- You can explain technical contexts understandably and enjoy working with colleagues without a technical background.
- You approach open-ended questions in a structured manner and can independently drive clearly defined projects.
- You communicate confidently in German and can effectively use English technical documentation.
