About the Role
The Technical Sales Engineer (TSE) collaborates with regional sales teams to assist clients in identifying and developing business cases. This role is crucial for educating clients on the company's core products and services through demonstrations, showcasing how Digital Asset's offerings can solve client challenges and create new business opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Work with the sales team to identify clients’ business problems, understand their current processes and systems, and demonstrate how our technology & products can minimize pain points.
- Assist clients in understanding our tech infrastructure and tooling, and help plan interfaces and integrations to their existing technology platforms.
- Rapidly develop full-stack prototypes of identified business cases to provide tangible proof of unique value creation.
- Deliver our value proposition and USP to diverse audiences, from developers and architects to C-Level executives.
- Own all technical aspects of the sales process from discovery to deal closure.
- Collect, collate, and summarize client feedback for the product team.
- Participate in establishing industry presence at relevant forums, meetups, associations, and conferences.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on software engineer with experience on large-scale projects in a production environment.
- Demonstrated experience in a senior technical role and/or industry or tech-sales experience.
- Demonstrated experience successfully collaborating in a dynamic environment.
- Demonstrated, extensive experience partnering with leading financial institutions in Japan, supported by a strong track record of successful engagements.
- Self-motivated with a proven track record of supporting technology evaluations and hands-on development of prototypes for demanding customers.
- Strong presentation skills, able to communicate complex concepts professionally in written responses and patiently train external parties on our tools.
- Good understanding of infrastructure and how to deploy and run server-based software packages in restricted client environments as well as public/private cloud environments.
- Employment eligibility verification is required upon hire as per applicable law.
Skills
- Proficient in one or more programming languages e.g. Java, Python, TypeScript, JavaScript.
- Haskell & functional languages will be advantageous but not a must.
- Understanding of traditional and emerging technologies in the data persistence and distribution stack is a plus.
