About the Role
Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS seeks a dynamic, relationship-driven, and experienced fundraiser to manage a portfolio of donors and prospects, build authentic relationships, and lead the planned giving program. This role is crucial for deepening donor connections and growing individual and planned giving programs.
Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of approximately 300 donors and prospects with the capacity to give $1,000+ annually.
- Deepen donor and prospect connections to the organization's mission by informing them about events and opportunities.
- Identify and create personalized engagement strategies for high-potential donors.
- Regularly connect with donors through in-person meetings, Zoom, phone, and email for stewardship and solicitation.
- Record notes and actions in Raiser’s Edge/NXT database, ensuring accuracy and tracking success.
- Oversee donor acknowledgements and listings for publications with the development analytics associate.
- Draft solicitation and acknowledgement letters, and occasional foundation grant proposals.
- Lead the growth and management of the Colleen Dewhurst Legacy Society, the planned giving program.
- Design and implement a planned giving stewardship and recruitment strategy with the communications team.
- Plan and execute planned giving stewardship events and ensure donor recognition.
- Track realized planned gifts and maintain expertise in relevant legislation and financial options.
- Plan and execute donor stewardship events with the individual giving team and oversee invitations.
- Participate in facilitating Broadway Cares’ Red Buckets fundraising appeals on Broadway and Off-Broadway.
- Be available to participate in person at numerous evening and weekend events and meetings.
- Take on additional ad hoc tasks, responsibilities, and projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Commitment to the mission of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.
- 3+ years of individual and/or planned giving fundraising experience.
- Proven track record of soliciting and securing gifts of $1,000+.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully maintain and utilize database systems.
- Proficiency in Google Drive and Microsoft Office.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Personal drive, initiative, and creative problem-solving.
- Willingness to support fundraising events and team initiatives.
- Appreciation for theater and the performing arts.
