About the Role
Act as the Country Manager's commercial deputy, building and leading the market's end-to-end commercial plan. This role translates BU strategy into executable, local initiatives to drive revenue, merchant growth, and customer adoption.
Responsibilities
- Design and define the portfolio strategy for an identified country, supporting the execution of local product priorities, and analyzing and interpreting product performance.
- Implement hands-on execution coordination of local and global cross functional initiatives.
- Manage process escalations to remove obstacles for strategy execution while proposing and supporting change implementation.
- Collaborate and define priorities based on global commercial product strategy.
- Research new opportunities and establish and negotiate new partnerships.
- Engage with ongoing partners regularly, improving relationships and operational efficiencies.
- Direct, set, and define customized market/regional specific product and technology strategies.
- Manage stakeholder relationships and oversee the delivery of key product and platform infrastructures.
- Set strategic direction and roadmap to enhance product experience and business metrics.
- Build the market commercial plan, translating BU strategy into a market plan with financial targets, in partnership with the Country Manager.
- Partner with local Product, Marketing, Sales, and Finance to define initiatives, value cases, and delivery timelines.
- Ensure every initiative has a business owner, timeline, expected impact, dependencies, and KPIs.
- Lead and govern market execution, serving as the Country Manager's key execution partner.
- Drive cross-functional delivery of deals and product launches and pressure-test launch readiness.
- Ensure initiatives remain on schedule and proactively remove execution blockers.
- Evaluate competing initiatives and surface risks and opportunities to the BUs.
- Recommend reallocating resources within budget, and escalate issues the market can't resolve alone.
- Provide structured feedback to Central GTM and BUs on merchant, consumer, and sales signals.
- Turn market feedback into insights for BUs and Central GTM.
- Run the local pipeline and performance cadence.
Requirements
- 8+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 6–9+ years in Commercial, GTM, revenue strategy, or sales leadership.
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives without formal authority; ability to balance strategic planning with execution.
- Strong commercial planning and financial acumen.
- Experience in payments, fintech, or digital commerce preferred.
- Excellent communication and executive stakeholder management skills.
- Sound judgment on when to resolve locally vs. escalate.
