About the Role
The Director of Site Operations provides strategic leadership, governance, and operational oversight for all site leadership teams across Canada. This role drives national consistency in field execution, optimizes resource scheduling, maintains rigorous safety standards, and ensures accuracy in project labor billing.
Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and execute comprehensive national site resourcing plans to optimize field team utilization and balance talent ratios.
- Oversee and maintain strict accuracy on job billing metrics, ensuring hours allocated match specific project metrics and budgets.
- Partner with regional operations leads on localized site logistics planning, evaluating hour requirements, and pre-planning field mobilizations.
- Oversee the recruitment, training, performance management, and continuous mentorship of all site superintendents and assistant superintendents.
- Enforce national H&S compliance, lead cross-regional safety audits, and cultivate a zero-injury safety culture.
- Establish and manage a standardized sub-contractor feedback and scoring framework for quality control and vendor accountability.
- Maintain a structured travel schedule across Canadian operational hubs to audit jobsites, resolve field friction, and ensure alignment with corporate execution standards.
Requirements
- Minimum 10–15 years of progressive construction leadership experience, with a heavy emphasis on commercial interiors, general contracting, and managing multi-million dollar corporate accounts.
- Deep operational knowledge of site logistics planning, scheduling, superintendent management, labor forecasting, and field health & safety management.
- Strong experience managing labor budgets, auditing job-costing metrics, and overseeing project billing processes.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively coast-to-coast.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills; a natural team builder who can navigate cross-regional dynamics seamlessly.
