About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and versatile Breakfast and Bar Assistant to join our team. This role involves a variety of duties including food preparation, buffet management, kitchen porter tasks, table clearance and cleaning, hosting guests, and supporting bar service.
Responsibilities
- Prepare breakfast items, including baking bakery products and warm food daily for the buffet in the oven
- Refill the buffet according to daily demand
- Assist with kitchen porter duties including cleaning and dishwashing
- Clear and clean tables promptly to maintain a tidy dining area
- Provide excellent hosting skills by greeting and assisting customers warmly
- Handle cash and credit card payments accurately and efficiently
- Support bar service including preparing drinks and maintaining cleanliness
- Open and close shifts according to operational procedures
- Assist with inventory management and restocking as needed
- Maintain hygiene and safety standards throughout your shift
Requirements
- Completed an apprenticeship in the hotel trade and/or have professional experience in the hotel / catering industry or be looking for a change of career
- Be open and communicative and have hosting skills, as well as a passion for the hotel industry
- Be flexible and creative and have an excellent sense of quality, even in stressful situations
- Be a team player and willing to provide assistance across departments
