About the Role
Brewster Pediatrics is seeking a Dental Assistant in Brewster, New York to provide excellent patient care within a team-based environment. This role is integral to supporting the office and assisting dental staff with treatments, contributing to the mission of delivering exceptional dental care and creating memorable patient experiences.
Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
- Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
- Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
- Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake.
- Manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.
Requirements
- Prior dental assisting experience is required.
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) in New York is required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.
