About the Role
AO is seeking motivated, people-focused professionals to join our growing team as Remote Member Support Advisors. In this role, you'll work virtually with working families, veterans, union members, and other eligible groups, helping them understand available supplemental benefits and financial protection options. This opportunity combines customer service, benefits education, relationship building, and enrollment support in a fully remote environment.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted resource for members and their families throughout the benefits process.
- Meet virtually with members through Zoom and scheduled phone appointments.
- Answer questions regarding available benefits and coverage options.
- Explain benefit programs clearly and professionally.
- Help members understand options based on their individual needs.
- Assist with applications, enrollments, and required documentation.
- Provide ongoing customer service and follow-up support.
- Maintain accurate member records and documentation.
- Build lasting relationships through professionalism, integrity, and consistent communication.
- Participate in structured virtual onboarding and training.
- Attend ongoing coaching and professional development sessions.
- Learn industry products, systems, and best practices.
- Strengthen communication, customer service, and relationship-building skills.
- Collaborate with experienced team members and mentors.
- Develop skills that can lead to future leadership opportunities.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Be physically located within the United States.
- Have access to a computer or laptop.
- Maintain reliable high-speed internet.
- Have webcam and microphone capability.
- Maintain a quiet, professional workspace.
- Be comfortable working and communicating virtually.
- Be willing to complete required training and professional development.
- Obtain the appropriate state Life & Health Insurance License before conducting licensed insurance activities.
- Complete applicable pre-licensing coursework, examinations, and state licensing requirements at the candidate’s expense.
