About the Role
Trade Supply Group is a unified network of locally respected, individually managed building supply businesses. We are seeking a Warehouse Associate, Outside Sales Representative, CDL Boom Driver, and Non-CDL Driver to join our team. These roles are crucial for processing transactions, growing our customer base, and ensuring timely deliveries.
Responsibilities
- Process inbound/outbound transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Apply inventory control procedures.
- Service and support clients and departments.
- Operate a boom crane to load/unload trucks.
- Deliver building materials to customers/jobsites.
- Pick and package orders for shipment using a sit-down forklift.
- Assist customers with order pickups and loading their vehicles.
- Unload and load trucks.
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness and a safe work environment.
- Prospect and develop new business through customer visits, cold calling, and lead follow-up.
- Build, maintain, and grow relationships with existing customers.
- Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products and solutions.
- Analyze customer buying patterns to uncover sales opportunities.
- Provide knowledgeable and responsive customer service.
- Follow up with prospects and customers to drive sales.
- Coordinate with the Warehouse team to confirm delivery loads.
- Calculate boom/crane capacities and weights, checking clearances.
- Calculate material weights to ensure compliance with truck and DOT regulations.
- Inspect and maintain crane/boom equipment.
- Maintain compliance with DOT regulations and follow traffic laws.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries.
- Obtain Proof of Delivery photographs and signatures.
- Research and understand efficient delivery routes.
- Pick up items for customer returns.
- Keep truck and associated equipment clean and in good working order.
- Inspect vehicles and perform preventative maintenance.
- Lift and move at least 50 lbs.
Requirements
- Sit-down forklift experience: 1 year (Required)
- Warehouse experience: 1 year (Preferred)
- RF scan gun experience: 1 year (Preferred)
- Sales experience: 1 year (Preferred)
- Building Materials experience: 2 years (Preferred)
- College Degree (Preferred)
