About the Role
Artisan builds AI employees that take on real work. We are looking for Builders who can understand a customer problem, decide what the product should do, design the experience, and ship the code. You will own the entire product development process, working directly with the CEO to turn unclear problems into usable customer products. You will have the freedom to make decisions, test them with customers, and remain accountable for the product post-launch.
Responsibilities
- Talk to customers, study how they work, and identify problems worth solving.
- Shape the product by writing specs, designing interfaces, making tradeoffs, and focusing scope for quick shipping.
- Build and ship production features in TypeScript and React, utilizing AI coding tools.
- Follow product results through to actual use, monitoring customer struggles and improving the experience.
- Maintain built features by fixing bugs, handling edge cases, and improving system understandability.
- Collaborate with the team on shared infrastructure, AI behavior, or customer workflows.
Requirements
- Have personally taken a product or substantial feature from an idea to production, with the ability to explain the customer problem, decisions, and post-launch outcomes.
- Can ship TypeScript and React in an existing codebase without constant direction and debug code when AI tooling makes errors.
- Possess strong product and design judgment, with attention to both interface functionality and aesthetics.
- Have experience with outbound sales, including researching prospects, sending campaigns, handling replies, and selling products.
- Take initiative, defend product decisions, accept criticism, and change course based on evidence.
- Move quickly, taking responsibility for quality, maintenance, and customer outcomes.
- May have founded a company, worked as a sales engineer, or transitioned from sales to software building.
- Can share a product personally built and explain ownership during application.
