About the Role
Direct and supervise production operations to meet or exceed Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Inventory goals. Coordinate production activities to ensure manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner. Support customer requests and work to identify and eliminate root causes of defective products. Ensure operators are trained, certified, engaged, and developing skills.
Responsibilities
- Direct and supervise production operations to meet or exceed Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Inventory goals for the assigned department and shift.
- Coordinate production activities with Superintendents and/or Plant Managers to ensure manufacturing objectives are met efficiently.
- Follow Leader Standard Work and Daily Schedule.
- Support customer requests and identify/eliminate root causes of defective products.
- Ensure operators are trained and certified for their tasks.
- Provide leadership and training to achieve company goals.
- Lead with integrity, earning respect and trust from operators.
- Ensure operators are engaged, developing skills, and taking ownership of responsibilities.
- Maintain an organized and clean department.
- Implement and maintain Lean Manufacturing methods and tools.
Requirements
- Experience using various types of manufacturing machinery and tools.
- Experience with implementing Lean Manufacturing principles is preferred.
- Must be well-organized and able to manage multiple tasks and problem-solve.
- Must have working experience with the company planning and scheduling system.
