About the Role
Play an integral part in the planning, preparation, delivery, and setup of events ranging from small meetings to large-scale productions in premier UK venues and hotels.
Responsibilities
- Assist in cleaning, testing, maintaining, prepping, and repairing equipment prior to an event.
- Ensure flawless event execution through accurate and timely setup, operation, and breakdown of basic audio-visual equipment.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and resolve problems quickly.
- Comply with all company security and safety measures.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and wear appropriate PPE.
- Report all health and safety issues to the HSE Manager or Project Manager onsite.
- Work as part of a team on larger scale projects.
- Strive to exceed the expectations and needs of internal and external customers.
- Maintain positive client relationships through effective communication.
- Meet with guests on site to ensure their needs are met and equipment setup is working properly.
- Monitor events and check in on customers throughout the day.
- Understand and foster the hotel/venue/client relationship.
- Demonstrate basic operational ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve equipment and software issues.
- Handle equipment challenges and changes in a timely and professional manner.
- Understand company processes, follow procedures, and complete systems entry and paperwork accurately.
- Use equipment sheets to determine scheduled equipment for setup and strike.
- Interact with other staff and outside vendors for equipment.
- Increase revenue by utilizing floor up-selling techniques.
- Work with clients to finalize invoices.
Requirements
- Previous experience within the Service and Hospitality industry would be preferable.
- Previous experience in AV / Live events would be preferred.
- Previous experience of audio visual experience, or equivalent in an educational environment would be beneficial.
