About the Role
The Food & Beverage team ensures a consistent guest experience by maintaining product freshness, availability, and accurate pricing. This role focuses on operations, process, and efficiency within all Food and Beverage areas of the store, including replenishment, inventory accuracy, food safety, presentation, and pricing.
Responsibilities
- Create an Easy, Inspiring and Friendly guest experience by delivering on commitments.
- Greet guests warmly and initiate helpful interactions.
- Assist guests in finding items and resolving issues for a smooth shopping experience.
- End every guest transaction with a sincere thank you.
- Actively support team efforts and assist peers with a positive and respectful attitude.
- Adjust to business and guest needs to deliver an easy and inspiring guest experience.
- Deliver an exceptional guest experience by providing a fresh and abundant shopping experience, prioritizing guest needs.
- Uphold and maintain the execution of the Food & Beverage Standards.
- Execute food and beverage processes including deliveries, replenishment, instocks, data accuracy, culling, rotation, cleaning, signing, and organizing.
- Be aware of current and future promotions within Starbucks.
- Follow all Target and Starbucks routines to deliver a consistent experience while completing tasks efficiently and maintaining food safety.
- Support the Starbucks Drive Up process to ensure digital guest orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
- Maintain an inviting dining area for guests throughout the shift.
- Engage with guests to meet and exceed expectations based on Starbucks standards.
- Produce hand-crafted beverages and food to specifications on recipe cards.
- Follow all food safety requirements, including monitoring and recording temperature-sensitive food items.
- Complete and record all cleaning tasks in the Starbucks space.
- Locate and identify damaged, recalled, or expired items and process according to best practices.
- Ensure accurate in-stocks by placing store-initiated orders.
- Follow proper perishable inventory procedures to ensure accurate recording of inventory.
- Execute sampling best practices.
- Complete all required training requirements and certifications related to quality control of Starbucks products.
- Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance.
- Work in a safe manner at all times; comply with all safety policies, best practices, and training; report hazards and correct where possible.
- Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pick up (OPU), and Drive-up (DU) while maintaining a compliance culture.
- Perform other duties based on business needs.
Requirements

- Ability to accurately handle cash register operations as needed.
- Ability to climb up and down ladders if needed.
- Ability to scan, handle, and move merchandise efficiently and safely.
- Ability to remain mobile for the duration of scheduled shifts.
- Ability to work in environments with refrigeration and freezer temperatures.
- Ability to work in and exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements.
- Previous Starbucks/food service experience preferred, but not required.
- Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and other team members.
- Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment as directed.
- Ability to work both independently and with a team.
- Ability to resolve guest questions quickly on the spot.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step processes.
- Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes.
- Come to work when scheduled, work scheduled shifts, and take required meal and rest breaks.
